MicroMécanique outillage en carbure de tungstène

Grinding is one of MicroMécanique’s long-standing areas of expertise. This process produces surface finishes of exceptional quality and micron-level precision, both on flat surfaces and on internal or external cylindrical surfaces.

This finishing technique is vital for achieving perfect geometry, dimensional accuracy and long-lasting components, especially for hard materials like tungsten carbide and hardened steels.

Direct industrial applications

Surface and cylindrical grinding is used for:

  • Aeronautics, space and defence: for critical mechanical parts that must withstand extreme stress.
  • Nuclear power and energy: for components subject to wear, requiring micron-level precision.
  • Watchmaking and luxury goods: for perfect finishes on miniaturised and decorative parts.
  • Medical devices and connectors: micron-level adjustments for specific fixtures and tools.
  • Engineering and automotive: to produce complex cylindrical parts, shafts, rings and bushings.

    • TSCHUDIN HTG 410 (centre height 130 mm, distance between centres 350 mm)

This equipment can be used to produce individual parts or small series with consistent quality.

Capabilities and performance on technical and hard materials

Our grinding machines allow for tolerances of ±0.001 mm and surface finishes up to Ra 0.005, even on the most complex materials:

  • Tungsten carbide: to produce tools and wear parts with extreme precision.
  • Hardened steels: for high-strength shafts, bushings and components.
  • Titanium and superalloys: for complex parts requiring a perfect finish.
  • Stainless steel, copper, brass and aluminium: for delicate grinding on technical or decorative parts.
  • Industrial ceramics: for fragile components requiring micro-polishing and microfinishing.

Grinding, alongside turning, milling or 5-axis high-speed machining, is a vital part of the process we offer our customers to achieve dimensional and functional perfection.
